Remember the Playhouse

A bequest through your will can help ensure that Huntington Beach Playhouse (HBPH) is able to continue its tradition of providing live, community theatre for years to come.
A will or other legal agreement (such as a trust) is needed to ensure that your estate is distributed according to your wishes. Without such arrangements, your property may be distributed according to the dictates of state law, without regard for your intentions.
Federal estate tax laws encourage charitable bequests by allowing an estate tax deduction for the full value of charitable gifts. No limit is placed on the amount that can be left to charity and deducted from your estate. After providing for family and friends, please consider specifying that all or a portion of your estate be distributed to HBPH.
All donations from estates and trusts are added to the HBPH endowment fund, unless otherwise restricted, and the income is used to publicize and mount productions and otherwise support our programs and operations. In this way, you can help ensure that there will always be funds to operate our theatre and will create a continuing memorial supporting your philanthropic wishes.

The best way to make a charitable bequest through your will depends on a number of factors, including your assets and family considerations. Without cost or obligation, HBPH will provide you and your legal and tax advisors with general information at your request.

You should feel free to confer with your own attorney and tax advisor to determine the tax consequences of a proposed gift. The following are suggested forms of bequests that may be used:
