The play centers around John Stapleton who wishes for only peace and solitude while living with his Mother and Sister.  While each of them try to help each other to move forward with their lives, he then opens his home up to two young lawyers who meet under uncomfortable circumstances.  As the two lawyers are forced to live under one roof they begin a classic love story, destined to be together no matter how hard they resist.  The play follows them and the others living in one house as they all seek love and happiness in their own romantic relationships.
