LEND ME A TENOR
By Kenneth Ludwig
directed by Earl Byers
produced by Bettie Muellenberg, Dawn Conant & Monica Bartolone

World famous tenor, Tito Morelli, is scheduled to perform the title role in Verdi's Otello. But wait, Morelli -- also known as "Il Stupendo" -- is late, and when he finally sweeps in with his very beautiful and very jealous wife, there's no time to rehearse. Through a hilarious series of mishaps, Tito passes out. Max, an aspiring singer, is persuaded to get into Otello's costume to fool the audience into thinking he's Il Stupendo. He succeeds admirably, but before long Morelli comes to and gets into his other costume. Soon two Otellos are running around in costume and two women are running around in lingerie, each thinking she is with Il Stupendo!
