turbulent marriage, a family gathering, a terminal illness and a lot of
money sets the stage for this Pulitzer Prize-winning classic. Cat
on a Hot Tin Roof revolves around the gathering of the Pollitt
family to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday…what ensues is an evening
of deception, secrets, lies and manipulation. |
Huntington Beach Playhouse is non-profit amateur theater, there is no
pay.
Auditions:
Sunday, March 21st at 1:00pm
Monday, March 22nd at 7:30pm

Preparation:
Cold readings from the script. Bring headshot and resume.

Brick
(late 20’s)
Handsome, athletic, cool, an alcoholic. A
caged animal.
Big
Daddy (50’s –
60’s) Large, brash and crude. In
a game of cat and mouse, he’s the dog.
Big
Mamma (50’s –
60’s) A breathless, sincere, opinionated and faded Southern Belle.
Mae
(early 30’s)
Agitated, nagging, manipulative and opportunistic.
Gooper
(mid-30’s) Rational, plotting, but a bit overwhelmed.
Reverend
Tooker
(40’s-60’s) greedy and opportunistic minister.
Doctor
Baugh
(40’s-60’s) Quiet family doctor.
